Book Review: The Evil B.B. Chow and other stories by Steve Almond
THE EVIL B.B. CHOW AND OTHER STORIES by Steve Almond –Life is weird and Steve Almond has perfected the art of blending the bizarre with the mundane. These stories are edgy and just slightly beyond the borders of the possible. Almond uses unusual situations to delve into the depths of the human psyche where it all looks like familiar territory indeed: desperation, loneliness, frustration, alienation etc. it’s all there. From a dinner with friends who unexpectedly reveal their encounters with alien life forms, to a boy who accidentally kills someone, to a woman with a very unusual fetish, these are stories that will stay with you long after you’ve stopped shuddering.

Well, thank you very much. I was looking for something interesting to read over the summer that has nothing to do with New testament, Theology, Philosophy, Education Theory, or Family Systems Theory. This looks like the one that will push me toward our American Meca .... Barnes and Noble. Have a great day Lucky White Girl!
