"Merry Christmas".... or else!
I was reading yet another article on the artificially constructed "war" on Christmas and was struck by how aggressive the "Christmas and Christmas ONLY" crowd can be. These people seem very angry. Maybe that's the new spirit of the season? How ugly. Leave it to the conservatives to convert a nice well wishing sentiment into a mean-spirited display of unfriendly politics.
"Merry Christmas!!" I've heard people growl at the cashier if he/she didn't say it to them.
Is that a threat?

To me, the war on Christmas is those horrid inflatable decorations people put in their yards. But that's just me. I think you make a good point about anger.
Happy Chrismukkahwanzaa, Barb.

if i don't know someone, i say merry christmas, because it's my holiday. if i know someone celebrates something else, i'll refer to it. but, kwanzaa is a made up holiday from the 70s and i've never known anyone who celebrated it. sounds like crap to me.

Christmas is a made-up holiday from the 5th century AD intended to co-opt pagan celebrations of the winter solistice. Jesus was probably born in the summertime, so we probably should celebrate his birth at the 4th of July. So what's yer point about made-up holidays, P?
BTW, Happy Holiday. And may His noodly appendage touch you. Ramen!
